100 Years - Clutch Productions Assists With Exciting Texas Tech University Centennial Celebration

A centennial celebration does not happen often for any one person or organization. So, when Texas Tech approached Clutch Productions about producing the live stream for the historic event, we know it was something special. The Texas Tech University Centennial Celebration was an amazing event to be a part of. We worked alongside and collaborated with many talented artists, technicians, and administrators to put together an unforgettable event.

Event Description

"It’s something every Red Raider must see. On August 25, 2022, Eyes on the Horizon, played in front of a packed house at the Allen Theater. This production told the unique and special story of Texas Tech University, including our founding, the role of the historic dairy barn, how the Masked Rider came to be, and how the May 11, 1970, tornado forever impacted the mission of this university. Woven within this story, elements of the Centennial celebration were introduced and President Schovanec shared his vision for the next 100 years.

This production, written by Texas Tech students and performed by Texas Tech students, was a collaboration between the Office of the President and the J.T. and Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts, School of Theatre and Dance.

We encourage you to gather your Red Raider family and watch this incredible production. You will be glad you did."

Texas Tech University Centennial Technical Needs

It is no simple task to produce a successful live stream of an important event. Teams have to be prepared and coordinated for everything that happens. Clutch Productions captured the live video of the event with five high quality cameras. Two of these cameras were manned, while the other three were robotic and controlled remotely. Every one of the cameras recorded their feed for later use. For audio, we partnered with Faris Wheel Productions to capture, record, and produce top-notch live sound. We've worked with their team many times, and when we tackle the same project together magic happens.

With killer video and sound put together, the live stream we produced ended with about 15,000 views on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. These live streams were sent to each of the social media platforms simultaneously, which is no problem for us and our crew. After the event was finished, our task then shifted to taking the multi-tracked audio and have it mastered for post production. Our team then took this mastered audio and combined it with the individual camera recordings to edit together a polished video for Texas Tech.

The Texas Tech University Centennial Celebration was a huge success. Clutch Productions is honored to have been trusted in helping put on such a consequential event for Lubbock and Texas Tech. Whether your event is big or small, our team can help you with all of your live production needs. Contact our office today!
